I had to walk amongst people today ...

. Why is it that, each time you smile at them, they take it as

an invitation to insult you

? Sometimes I wonder, why I still even bother to befriend them. Maybe I should just give up. After all, it's more than 2 1/2 decades later now, but really nothing has changed. It's still the same as it was in the horrible eighties. In fact, many things are even worse these days.
 
In the early/mid 90s, despite the fact that everything became fun-orientated (and generally shallow ... I blame techno-music for this), I really had the hope that things might make a turn for the better.
 
But, no. They didn't. Instead, we seem to be heading straight back to

the Dark Ages

.
 
There is a saying that, if you're not aware of the/your past (as in
